This week's schedule funk:
No School Friday
O God, whose Son Jesus is the good shepherd of your people;
Grant that when we hear his voice we may know him who
calls us each by name, and follow where he leads; who, with
you and the Holy Spirit, lives and reigns, one God, for ever
and ever. Amen.
1 John 3:1-3
The Lord is our Good Shephard--what does that make us? Vocation (voce=call) - who are we? Who are we called to be? What are we growing into?
This week's chapel will focus on Baptism--if you are not baptized, consider accepting this gift from God and starting on the most exciting adventure you will ever embark on. None of us can be fully ready for baptism--if we tell ourselves we are ready for it, then we are fooling ourselves into thinking that we can merit it. We accept it as a gift of God's grace and purity, being brought to life as he is alive. If you are baptized, encourage your friends to take this step, and joyfully be reminded of the covenant that God has accomplished with you in your Baptism, which is the death and Resurrection of his only Son.
