Thursday, 5/6 - Friday, 5/7

Pre--
Prepare for Suffixes Quiz

Lesson--
Discuss Rough Drafts and Peer Feedback.
What was valuable feedback you received?
Give feedback on your feedback--what was some feedback that was not valuable, and what would have made it valuable?

Next steps:
1) Proofread (commas, sentences, run-ons, fragments, quote usage)
2) Content (do you need to reorganize? Clarify thesis? Provide better evidence? Construct better arguments?)
3) Annotated Bibliography (spotless formatting? Relevant sources? Proofread annotations? Cite properly?
4) Review all MLA requirements and make appropriate tweaks. This might be easier on a home computer.

Post--
Review the Writing Rubric, and compare to your current draft. Try grading yourself, and see what you should improve. Begin working on your Final Draft.

HW--
Submit the Final Draft (with Annotated Bibliography) to turnitin.com by class Tuesday, 5/12, along with a paper copy.

Wednesday, 5/6

Pre--
Pull up turnitin.com, and prepare to complete the Peer Editing Assignment

Lesson--
What do good feedback comments look like?
How many times should you read?
Should you mark specific changes, or leave overall feedback?

For those of you whose PeerMark is not working, give feedback using the following:

1. Rank the strength of the thesis from 1-5. 1=vague or missing, 5=strong
2. Rank the quality of research sources from 1-5. 1=faulty sources, 5=excellent sources
3. Rank the quality of evidence from 1-5. 1=missing or off-topic, 5=highly relevant
4. Rank the quality of writing from 1-5. 1=errors, too informal, 5=excellent
5. Rank the use of quotations from 1-5. 1=choppy or missing, 5=seamless and precise.
6. Write at least 15 words: What specific strengths does this research paper have?
7. Write at least 15 words: What specific areas does this research paper need to improve?

Post--
If you finish, study Suffixes able-esecent.

Fifth Sunday of Easter
Almighty God, whom truly to know is everlasting life: Grant
us so perfectly to know your Son Jesus Christ to be the way,
the truth, and the life, that we may steadfastly follow his

your Son our Lord, who lives and reigns with you, in the unity
