Q4 Memorization Assignment

To foster your critical, analytical, and performative skills, I would like you to memorize a poem by the first week in May (5/2 - 5/6). You may choose any poem we have read together in class. Some reminders of options are below.  Romeo & Juliet and The Odyssey are considered poetry, so you may choose a section from these works.

Due - week of May 2 (be prepared to recite privately to me anytime during this week. You will be selected at random.)

Memorization tips:
1) Do pieces at a time. Memorize one line at a time each day.
2) Read. Re-read. Repeat.
3) Be sure to look up all unfamiliar words.
4) Listen to audio recordings.
5) Practice with a buddy to get out the nerves of reciting it with someone present.
